Learn how to send messages, track conversations, and set up notifications. ### **Getting Started** **Accessing the SMS Feature:** It is important to note that the SMS Feature is permissions driven. To see which User Roles have access to send and view SMS communications, check out the [Security Matrix.](https://help.sitezeus.com/reading-the-security-matrix-sitezeus-help-center?hsLang=en) **Understanding Message Tracking:** All SMS messages exchanged between Sales Owners and leads are tracked and managed within SiteZeus. This allows for easy reference, historical context, and efficient collaboration among team members. **Sending SMS Messages** **Composing a New SMS:** To send an SMS message, start by navigating to the Lead Card of the lead you wish to message. Click 'Send Text' in the top right corner (note that this option will be grayed out if the Lead does not have a phone number on the record). A messaging window will appear, allowing you to type your message. Once the message is ready, hit "Send." ![SMS](https://help.sitezeus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SMS.png?width=670&height=299&name=SMS.png) ### **Tracking Conversations** **Message History:** Access a comprehensive history of all SMS conversations with leads by clicking on the "Correspondence' tab within the lead's profile. You can view messages, responses, and timestamps, helping you stay informed and engaged throughout the sales process. ![SMS History](https://help.sitezeus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SMS%20History.png?width=670&height=329&name=SMS%20History.png) ### **Enabling Notifications** **Sales Owner Notifications:** Stay on top of your SMS conversations by enabling notifications for new messages on the 'Settings' tab. Configure these notifications to be sent to your assigned phone number, ensuring that you never miss an important interaction. As a reminder, the phone number for Sales Owners is attached on the [User](https://help.sitezeus.com/create-a-new-user?hsLang=en) page. **Alternate Sales Manager Notifications:** For enhanced team collaboration, set up notifications for an alternate Sales Manager. This ensures that incoming SMS messages are promptly addressed, even if the primary Sales Owner is unavailable. **Important Note:** While Sales Owners can initiate SMS conversations and receive notifications through SiteZeus, all responses to lead messages must be sent through the SiteZeus platform.
