      Replace the Timeline on a Project or Site

      In SiteZeus, managing projects and sites efficiently is crucial for ensuring the success of your endeavors. To streamline your project management process, SiteZeus offers a new and valuable feature - the ability to replace the timeline of a project or site. This feature allows you to adjust the project's timeline to better fit your needs on the fly, while still keeping track of your project's progress accurately. In this article, we will guide you through the process of replacing the timeline on a project or site in SiteZeus.

       

      To change the timeline on a project or site in SiteZeus, follow these simple steps:

      1. Navigate to the Project or Site: Locate the specific project or site for which you want to change the timeline. You can do this through either of the Unit Grids or by utilizing the Global Search.

      2. Edit the Project or Site: Click on the 'Edit' button in the 'Basic Details' region of the Site of Project.

      3. Toggle the 'Change Assigned Timeline' button to 'On'.

      4. Choose Project Timeline: Select from the available options in the dropdown

         

        5. Configure New Timeline Selection:

        • Select Starting Task: This will be automatically defaulted to the first task in the newly assigned timeline, however, you have the option to make another selection.

        • Select Task Date: Select either the 'Date That Task Will Start' or 'Date That Task Will Be Completed'

          • Optionally select to 'Include Weekends' or 'Ignore Previous Tasks'

          • Optionally add the 'Landlord Turnover Date'

          • Optionally select a Blackout Date Set

        • Click 'Next'

          • Optionally Update Data on 'Step Two'

          • Optionally Update Data on 'Step Three'

        • Click 'Update': The page will refresh and the timeline on the unit will have been replaced.

        One of the key features of changing the timeline in SiteZeus is the mapping of any "Actual Dates" on any task(s) marked as 'Done'. This means that any completed tasks or milestones within your existing timeline can be transferred seamlessly to the new timeline you create.

        It is important to note that any data associated to a task that is not on the newly assigned timeline will not be mapped and will not be saved. Previously assigned timelines are not archived at this time.
