      Edit User Roles

      In SiteZeus, the ability to edit user roles empowers administrators to fine-tune access permissions as their organization evolves. This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to edit an existing user role within the SiteZeus platform. Only Client Administrators have system permissions to edit User Roles, and the Client Administrator role itself is not editable.

      Step 1: Navigate to the Security Matrix

      • Log in to your SiteZeus account with the appropriate credentials.

      • On the SiteZeus dashboard, navigate to Administration>Security Matrix in the navigation menu. This will take you to the Security Matrix page, where you can manage user roles.

      Step 2: Select the Role to Edit

      • On the Security Matrix page, you will see a list of existing user roles, organized alphabetically at the top of the grid.

      Step 3: Adjust Role Name and/or Permissions

      • Once you've identified the role you wish to modify, click on its name. This action will open the role settings for editing.

      • You will now have the ability to change the role's name to better reflect its purpose or function.

      • To update permissions for this role, use the toggles provided. Toggle permissions on (blue) or off (gray) as needed to grant or restrict access to specific features and functionalities.

      • Feel free to make any necessary adjustments to tailor the role to your organization's requirements.

      Step 4: Save your Changes

      • After making the desired changes to the role's name and permissions, click the "Save" button located at the bottom of the role settings.

      • SiteZeus will automatically apply the changes you've made to the role, automatically adjusting the permissions of users who are assigned that role.

      • A confirmation message will appear to confirm that your changes have been saved successfully.
