Converting a Site from a Seed

Click Sites in the navigation bar to the left.
2. Type the name of the seed in the Search/Filter box at the top of the grid.
3. Click the blue link to open the details of the specific seed you wish to convert.
4. Click Convert to Site in the top right corner.
5. Site Name and Concept will be automatically populated with the seed details in the new window that appears, however, you can change them as needed.
6. Select the Company and Primary Contact from your pre-existing companies, which pre-populates with the primary contact, by typing their name in the box provided. For information about how to Add a New Company & Contact, check out our Creating a Contact video.
7. Leave Status set to Active.
8. Select a Site Timeline.
a. This selection is critical, as it determines what tasks populate in your project timeline, as well as the timeframes in which those tasks are completed.
b. It is important to note that once you select the timeline for a project and save
the project, you will not be able to change the timeline without deleting the
project.
9. Select a task in the Select Task dropdown – this is defaulted to the first task in the timeline.
10. Select Select Task Date – either the date that the task will start or the date that the task will be completed.
11. Select Blackout Dates if applicable. For more information about Blackout Dates, check out our Blackout Dates support video
12. View the Estimated Open date and the number of operating weeks in the year, which is automatically calculated based on your selections above.
13. Click Next to move to the next tab.
None of the fields on the Address and SqFt or Additional Detail tabs are required.
14. Select Building Type from the available options in the dropdown.
15. Input location to include County, Address, City, State and Postal Code.
a. The map will snap to the location automatically based on your input.
16. Input Indoor Square Footage and Patio Square Footage.
17. Click Next to move to the next tab of the form.
18. Input Site Number
a. This should be a unique identifier and be either letters, numbers, or a
combination of both.
19. Input Email ID, where you can establish your unique email identifier if you want to ‘Email the Project’ at a later time. It is important that this ID is unique across all units.
20. Type Comments as needed.
21. Click Next to move to the last tab, titled Custom Fields.
The Custom Data field tab contains any and all custom data fields that you have created, and will be unique to your specific franchising system. Some of them may be required, while others are not. You can tell which fields are required as they will be marked with a red asterisk.
22. Click Create and View or Create, once you have populated all the required fields in the window.
23. Click Create and View you’ll be taken directly to the project details on the ‘Site’ page of SiteZeus.
Creating a New Site
1. Click Seeds in the navigation bar to the left
2. Click +New in the top right corner of the grid.
3. The next steps are identical to steps 5-22, However, none of the information will be pre-populated.
