Notifications and Subscriptions in NEXT
Notifications and Subscriptions help you stay informed about changes happening across your sites, timelines, tasks, and agreements—whether you’re automatically assigned or choose to opt in.
Notifications are alerts generated when something you are subscribed to changes—either because:
-
You were automatically subscribed (for example, assigned to a task), or
-
You intentionally opted in to receive updates
Notifications appear in-app and can optionally be delivered via email.
Viewing Notifications
Notifications are accessed from the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the application.
-
A numeric badge on the bell icon shows the number of unread notifications
-
Clicking the bell opens a dropdown showing your 8 most recent notifications
Each notification includes:
-
A title (e.g., Timeline Group Status Changed, Timeline Task Date Changed)
-
A short description of what changed
-
The date and time the notification was triggered
Marking Notifications as Read
From the notification dropdown, you can:
-
Mark an individual notification as read by clicking the blue dot
-
Mark all notifications as read at once by clicking the checkmark icon at the top of the dropdown
Clicking on any notification will take you directly to the related site or record.
Accessing the ZeusHub
At the bottom of the notification dropdown, select
“Show all Tasks, Notifications and Subscriptions”
This link takes you to the ZeusHub, where deeper notification and subscription management lives.
What is the ZeusHub?
The ZeusHub is your centralized workspace for:
-
Viewing all tasks assigned to you (as a Team Member or Contact)
-
Viewing your full notification history
-
Managing notification Subscriptions

How Notifications are Generated
Notifications can be triggered from several areas of the platform, depending on the type.
You will automatically receive notifications when:
-
You are assigned to a task (as a Team Member or Contact)
-
The task status changes
-
The estimated completion date changes
These notifications cannot be unsubscribed from, as they are tied directly to your assignment.
Subscribing to Global Task Notifications
If you want notifications for tasks you are not assigned to, you can subscribe to them globally.
This is useful when:
-
You want to monitor a specific task
-
You want updates across any site where that task exists
How to Subscribe
-
Navigate to the Subscriptions tab in the ZeusHub
-
Click “Timeline Task Notification Setup” at the top of the page
-
In the popup, select:
-
Timeline Template
-
Task Name(s)
-
Notification Type
-
Available notification types:
-
When the estimated date changes
-
When the task status changes
These subscriptions apply globally across all sites using that timeline.
Subscribing to Task Notifications (Site Specific)
If you only want notifications for a task on a specific site (not globally):
-
Locate the task
-
Click the three-dot menu to the left of the task
-
Select “Set Notifications”
From there, you can choose:
-
When Estimated Date Changes
-
When Task Status Changes
-
Notify me X days before estimated start date
Once configured, these notifications will automatically appear on the Subscriptions page for management.

Franchise Agreement Expiration Notifications
Users with the appropriate permissions can opt into Franchise Agreement Expiration notifications.
-
Click the person icon in the upper-right corner
-
Navigate to User Settings
-
Select one or more of the following options:
-
Notify when a franchise agreement expires
-
Notify X days before expiration
-
Optionally receive notifications daily leading up to expiration
-

Email Notifications
By default, all notifications are delivered in-app.
From User Settings, users may also opt into Email Notifications:
-
Email notifications mirror in-app notifications
-
Emails are sent to the email address used to log in
-
Formatting is identical to the in-app alerts
Opting into email notifications does not affect in-app delivery.
