Assigning a Timeline to a Lead Status
Lead statuses are adjustable as System Lists, housed under 'Select Lists' as shown below.
Clicking the 'Edit' button on the Lead Status you would like to assign will bring up the dropdown of available Timeline options. As a reminder, this list is reading the available Sales Timelines, which can be viewed under Administration>Master Timelines. Make sure you click 'Save' once you've made your selection.
You can add new Lead Statuses from this page as well, by clicking the '+New' button in the top right corner. For questions about how to add a new Sales Timeline or update an existing Sales Timeline, contact your SiteZeus Support Specialist.
Once you've made your assignments, any lead that comes into the system with that Lead Status, be it via API, lead email parsing, or manual addition, will automatically be assigned the selected timeline.
When adding a lead manually, you can override the automatic assignment by simply selecting a different timeline prior to clicking 'Create Lead', as shown here:
If you do not select a Timeline, the system will automatically assign based on your selections within 'System Lists'. As a reminder, if there are no timelines assigned to a status, or if the lead is not given a status, the timeline will not automatically be assigned.
