Start by navigating to the specific unit for which you want to add a task and scroll down to the timeline.
Step 2: Add Task to Milestone
In the milestone where you'd like to add the new task, click 'Add Task' on the milestone header. This action opens a pop-up window where you can define the details of the new task.
Step 3: Define Task Details
In the pop-up window, provide a title for the task and input the expected duration in days. Click 'Next' to proceed to the next tab.
Step 4: Set Task Dependencies (Optional)
If the new task has prerequisites that should be completed before it starts, click 'Yes' in the pop-up and select the Parent Task from the dropdown. Click 'Next' to move to the next tab.
Step 5: Define Task Dependents (Optional)
If the new task has dependencies, meaning other tasks that cannot be completed until this new task is marked as 'done,' click 'Yes.' Select the dependent tasks from the dropdown and click 'Next.'
Step 6: Assign Task
Choose the system Contact to which this task should be assigned. Additionally, toggle whether this task should trigger automatic updates to estimated dates on all child dependent tasks. Click 'Save' to finalize the addition of your new task.
